HOW LONG DOES CONFITEX UNDERWEAR LAST?
Confitex will last as long as your regular underwear. They can be washed over and over, and will not lose effectiveness over time.
HOW LONG WILL THE ELASTICITY OF THE LACE LAST?
The lace will last as long as your normal underwear. All the fabrics used are of the highest quality.
DOES THE UNDERWEAR LOSE ITS ABSORBENCY OVER TIME?
The absorbency of Confitex underwear does not decrease over time.
WHAT IS THE DAILY FLUID ABSORPTION?
We have three levels of absorbency to suit different needs. Because bladder leakage occurs in episodes, our total absorbency levels represent how much the underwear is able to hold across an entire day.
Absorbency for Light is: 5ml in one episode or 25ml over 24 hours. Absorbency for Moderate is: 40ml in one episode or 200ml over 24 hours. Absorbency for High is: 80ml in one episode or 400ml over 24 hours.
DOES CONFITEX ABSORB/MANAGE LOOSE BOWEL LEAKAGES?
Confitex is designed for bladder leakage and we don’t recommend it for faecal matter.
CAN I WEAR MY DISPOSABLE PAD INSIDE CONFITEX?
We recommend wearing Confitex on its own as it will function more effectively and fit better this way. It was not designed to be worn with another pad or diaper.
DO I STILL NEED TO GO TO THE BATHROOM?
Yes you do. Confitex is designed for uncontrolled bladder leakage, not a full bladder void. Confitex is not designed to remove the need for going to the bathroom
IF MY CONFITEX UNDERWEAR FEELS DAMP SHOULD I BE WORRIED?
There is no need to worry! Directly following an episode, you are likely to feel some dampness but as the underwear wicks the moisture away from your skin and absorbs it this feeling of wetness will disappear. The drying time will depend on the size of episode.
WILL CONFITEX UNDERWEAR ABSORB MENSTRUATION FLUID?
Confitex has been designed specifically for urine.
CAN I SLEEP IN MY CONFITEX?
We don’t recommend sleeping while wearing Confitex as they are designed to be worn on an upright body.
HOW DO I CHOOSE THE CORRECT SIZE?
To choose the correct size, measure around the fullest part of your hips and legs, then use this measurement to find the right size using our size chart. Our underwear is designed to fit snugly around the hips and legs as an additional support to ensure there are no leaks, and having the correct fit is important to ensure the underwear functions correctly. If you are not sure if you have the right size, we recommend purchasing one trial pair to check the sizing first.
HOW DOES THE UNDERWEAR STAY ODOURLESS?
Urine leaves the body in a sterile state (unless the person has an infection of the urinary tract). When urine touches the skin or sits in a wet warm environment (such as a moist pad) it begins to grow bacteria. It is when the bacteria grows that the odor occurs. With Confitex, the inner textile layer has quick dry technology, which eliminates the time moisture is held in the underwear. This means there is very minimal time when bacteria is able to grow which then eliminates the odour.
HOW DOES CONFITEX TEXTILE TECHNOLOGY WORK?
Confitex underwear features unique three-layer textile technology. The inner layer rapidly transfers moisture away from the body and quickly dries. The middle layer is highly absorbent for maximum moisture retention. The outer layer is waterproof, stretchable and breathable so there is no need to worry about leaks.
WHY IS CONFITEX EARTH FRIENDLY?
Traditional incontinence products are plastic and chemical based, and can only be disposed of in landfill where they can take up to 500 years to biodegrade. Confitex products are free of toxic plastics and chemicals. They last wash after wash, just like regular underwear, and even if you did put them in a landfill they would biodegrade in less than 10 years.
WHAT IS BAMBOO FIBRE, AND WHY DOES CONFITEX UNDERWEAR CONTAIN IT?
Bamboo fibre is made from bamboo timber grown in forests. This timber is used to create a fibre which can be spun into yarn and made into fabric. Bamboo fabric lasts three times longer than cotton, and is softer than cotton so your Confitex is even more comfortable. Bamboo is also environmentally friendly – its fast growing, produces significant amounts of oxygen, doesn’t require harmful pesticides, and needs little water to grow.
